These terms cover the use of this website and the service this office provides. They do not replace the terms of the company that runs your trip, and where the two differ, that company's confirmation governs your arrangement.

What this office undertakes
To describe what it sells accurately, to put your request to the operating company promptly, to pass on that company's answer without embellishment, to keep a copy of what was agreed, and to stay the point of contact until you are home. It does not undertake that any particular date will be available, that any figure will hold, or that any operating company will perform. It is an intermediary and says so.
Whose contract binds you
The operating company's. When it invoices you and issues a confirmation, that document and its terms are your contract for the trip. This office is not a party to it, does not guarantee it, and cannot vary it. Where that company fails to do what its terms require, this office will press the case in writing on your behalf, which is assistance rather than a guarantee.
Payment, refunds and money generally
Money never passes through this end, and no card of yours is stored anywhere in this business. Nothing on this site can be paid for. Refunds are a matter between you and the company that invoiced you, under its own terms. This office charges nothing to make, change or cancel an arrangement, and takes no share of anything refunded to you.
Nothing is shipped, and nothing is returned
This office sells no goods. There is nothing to deliver, nothing to post, nothing to return and no returns policy, because the only thing that changes hands is a reservation made in your name with somebody else. Confirmations arrive by email from the company that issues them.
Accuracy, and what to do when this site is wrong
Figures, dates and descriptions are checked before publication and can still go out of date between one season and the next. Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance; a figure becomes real when the operating company quotes it for your specific dates. If you find something here that is wrong, write and say so, and it will be corrected or removed rather than defended.

The site operates under the name Northbound Notes. The company responsible is Northbound Notes Bookings LLC, at the address printed at the foot of every page. Correspondence about these terms should go to that address or to the reservations email.
